Deba Energy seek the promotion of the region of Debabarrena
Arises the initiative of the companies Alpha, Egile Corporation, Epc Group Europe, Jaz Zubiaurre, maser, Tekniker-IK4 and Debegesa.
A group of businessmen from Debabarrena is proposed to convert the region of Guipuzcoa in a "LivingLab" energy that is capable of generating new business initiatives in the field of renewable and transform them into opportunities for diversity and technology capacity in the area:
The heads of the companies Alpha, Egile, Epc Groupe Europe, Jaz Zubiaurre, maser, Tekniker-IK4 and Debegesa have constituted the company Deba Energy, which comes as corporate brand to aspire to developing a business related to energy, especially to renewables, which help stimulate the industrial fabric of the region.
The new company will work on four power lines: savings, generation, distribution and storage, with the goal to build businesses that address each of these segments with products based on proprietary technology. In this sense, Deba Energy already has two projects in the pipeline coming within the areas of solar cooling and renewable generation.
For the first, the company will develop a refrigeration cycle based on a thermal compression. This system is capable of producing cold water for application solutions and cooling from hot water (from solar collectors). This plan will have the collaboration of CIEMAT and Tekniker-IK4.
The second project will also involve the forthcoming construction of a pilot machine of power generation based on an external combustion engine. This motor, powered by solar energy, has competitive advantages over other solar thermal technologies, allowing yields of over 40 of course no water consumption for its operation and greatly reducing the size of the facility. The industrialization of this technology is considered a challenge, which runs to ensure the performance and robustness in all conditions with minimal maintenance.
The second pillar of Energy Must be structured around the R & D + i in two ways. On the one hand, technology centers will hire project development, but on the other, it will promote a work of navigation of the company in the capacity of the centers to transform technological knowledge into products. This action will be channeled through agreements, to what has already initiated contacts with Ik4 and CIEMAT.
The founders of Energy Must also have set a third pillar of action in the enhancement of corporate actions, through collaboration with entities: Gaia Energy Cluster and European Solar Platform (PSA), with institutions such as the Basque Government and Adegi, and academia: Eibar Engineering University, which next year will give the first engineering degree in renewable energies in Spain, and with the School of Armory, which will also expand its educational offerings with a higher energy module renewable.
Similarly, the joint technology projects will be addressed in companies with a unique formula. Deba Energy should take at least 15 percent of the equity of new companies, while the remainder is divided primarily between associated companies or third parties. Likewise, the manufacture of products will be undertaken in a "contract" set on the basis of industrial technologies dominated by each member. The internationalization and the creation of marks will be key strategic aspects of the strategy of Deba Energy.
Finally, the promoters of Deba Energy Must aspire to become a boost for the "LivingLab" district in the energy field. An area that live energy, research and test, and that addresses an innovative industrial power, technology and training in the region to a growing discipline.
